S.B. 2160   RELATING TO GENERAL EXCISE TAX                      WAM
            Amends definition of gross income to allow
            taxpayers to deal on a cash basis.

S.B. 2512   RELATING TO THE INCOME TAXATION                     WAM
            Increases income tax deductions for businesses
            from 50% to 100% for meals and entertainment
            expenses.  Allows business entertainment deduction
            for club dues.

S.B. 2791   MAKING AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION TO PAY THE SHARE   WAM
            OF HEALTH INSURANCE CARRIER REFUND AND RATE CREDIT
            AMOUNTS DUE TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
            Appropriates emergency funds to pay the federal
            government its share of health insurance rebates
            and rate credits received by the general fund
            during fiscal year 1989-99.

S.B. 35     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO MATCH FEDERAL FUNDS      WAM
            FOR THE HAWAII FORESTRY AND COMMUNITIES INITIATIVE
            Appropriates funds to match federal funds for
            Hawaii Forestry and Communities Initiative.

S.B. 453    RELATING TO HOMESTEAD LEASES                        WAM
            Changes homestead lease amounts to $1.  Eliminates
            cash freehold agreements.

 
 


 
S.B. 1580 SD1  RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE INSURANCE                 WAM
            Defines independent bill reviewer (IBR) for
            insurance purposes; requires licensing of IBRs;
            levies an IBR license fee of $80 and $60 a year
            for services provided by DCCA.  Prohibits IBRs
            from being paid on a contingency fee bases.
            Establishes and appropriates funds for a cost
            containment investigator.  (SD1)
